The Karate Kid

Luke was invited to test for his orange belt the last week of April. We now know how this process works -- he is tested as part of a group on a Friday evening, and everyone in the group ends up getting the promotion. But the new belts aren't awarded until the next class.

 To get his orange belt, Luke had to break a board with his elbow in front of his class. Ken had taken him to karate last week, so I missed his exciting accomplishment. Ken said it took Luke four tries to break the board, but he did it!
