The Sunday before Christmas I drove Bryn and Luke to my parent's house; I'm very proud of myself for making the trip along I-95 with the two of them in the back seat by myself, but to their credit, the kids were great. That evening a next-door neighbor dressed as Santa paid a visit. Luke, who will do anything for a treat or present, happily sat on his lap, but Bryn, who's more cautious, wouldn't go near him, not even when Santa extended a gift. Nonetheless, Santa's visit had an impact on Bryn, and she and Luke both talk about Santa's pit stop at Nama and Gran'pop's.
