Day Five

Today marked Luke's fifth day in big-boy underwear (though he's still in diapers at nap time and bedtime.) Yesterday I took him to Little Gym, and he used the potty there. Doing so marked yet another milestone as it was the first time he used a public toilet. He then went to school, and when I picked him up, I was so delighted to see him wearing the same pants that he was wearing when I had dropped him off. He had never used the potty at school, but he did so yesterday two times. He had an accident last night when he was playing in the playroom with Bryn, but today, Day 5, he had no accidents, and he was at school for the better part of the day. We played at home after school, and he recognized when he was outside that he needed to go inside to use the potty. He accompanied Ken and Bryn to Bryn's Little Gym class, and he used the potty there again. He really seems to be getting the hang of it, and I am so tickled about his fast, fast progress. I'm keeping my fingers crossed because if he continues this amazingly good streak, then we'll be able to take him into the big pool at Belmont Hills this weekend; he'll no longer be relegated to the baby pool. :)
