As for Bryn, she had a "great" day at Arrowhead, and she told Luke not to be nervous when he goes to Arrowhead for the first time (next summer) because "it's the best place ever." She swam, but apparently the swimming tests, necessary before campers are allowed to use the water slide and diving board, are scheduled for tomorrow. She tried kickball for the first time and also spent time in the computer lab. She said at the end of the day her bunk went to the batting cages, but they ran out of time. Something about some girls taking too long to change after swimming. Today's lunch menu offered breakfast for lunch, so Bryn had a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch (cereal) and a hard-boiled egg. And a potato and a peanut butter and marshmallow fluff sandwich. Once she gets settled, I'll see if I can join her for lunch and maybe visit when she's doing archery or learning to cast a fishing line.

Freedom Park with Luke - and Bryn's First Day at Camp
Today was Bryn's first day of camp, so Luke and I had our own field trip to Freedom Park downtown. After having done golf at Little Gym, Luke wanted to try the beautiful mini golf course, which honors the historic sites and icons of Philadelphia.

I've never been through a round of golf more quickly, and on we went to the carousel. Then lunch at the new hamburger and milkshake stand, but we spent most of our time on the playground. Luke spent a lot of time working to master the monkey bars that were only about 50 inches off the ground. He fell a couple of times but only had 6 inches to go before hitting the ground. Here he has mastered the monkey bars:
