Christmas Morning

I don't remember what time Bryn and Luke woke up Christmas morning, but I think it was after 7 a.m., so not too early. Interestingly, both B&L went for their stockings first as they do every year.
In her stocking Bryn got a stuffed animal rabbit, ear rings, a barrette with a long feather attached to it. a gift card for her kindle, candy, of course, 3 "squinkies," which are tiny plastic animals packaged in clear spheres, a head band, scented hand gel, holiday-shaped playing cards, and a pack of tissues imprinted with candy canes. Luke's stocking offered him squinkies, hand gel, playing cards and candy, too, as well as a Fiskar matchbox car, two jibbits (Scooby Doo Mystery Machine and Obi Wan Kenobi) for his crocs, $20, a koala stuffed animal, bath gel and a bath toy that didn't work. Luke got everything on his list except for a $300 Star Wars Lego set. Instead he got a smaller set that had also been on his wish list -- the Millennium Falcon, along with Star Wars books and another book that he had requested.
Bryn's requests were far more modest -- a headband decorating kit and a "color-in-your-own-stickers book."

Santa brought her pajamas, new sequined shirts, a pogo stick, Chess, and a bunch of books.
To share Santa brought new games for the Wii, a two-person innertube for the snow, and big foam tennis balls to make hitting easier and therefore less frustrating. The presents were opened in a half an hour, so we had time to play with a surprising number of the new items before leaving for a week in Florida. This year didn't feel as rushed as last year did when it came to leaving the house around 1:00.
