April Fool's!

While Bryn and Luke were at school, I poured plain gelatin into glasses and inserted straws before the Jell-o had congealed in the fridge.  I thought the plain gelatin would be translucent and could pass as water, but it had a slight yellow tint to it, so I added a lemon slice to the glasses and told the kids the glasses contained homemade lemonade -- something we made recently with lemons that our next-door neighbor gives us from her tree.  It was a credible ruse.

Unfortunately, some of these pictures are blurry, but here's the sequence of events at dinnertime:

Excited to be drinking lemonade -- and not water -- with dinner, Luke eagerly tastes his drink:

Laughing at the joke:

Reacting, "MOMM!!!!"

Then playing with the Jell-O:

Love this last shot.  Clearly I have too much time on my hands!
