Lemonade Stand
Bryn and Luke are often asking whether we can hold a lemonade stand. Doing so entails some degree of preparation, so I often put them off when they ask. Nama gave the kids a cooler and other necessary supplies, so we finally held our first lemonade stand in Tiburon during this first week of Camp Mom. We spent all morning baking -- lemonade cupcakes and blondies. Unfortunately, the weather was cool, in the 60s, and windy -- not exactly conducive to a successful lemonade stand. But the kids were undeterred. We took everything to Blackie's Pasture, and later to Belvedere Park, and while the kids didn't sell much "ice cold lemonade," they managed to sell all of the blondies and all but four of the cupcakes. They stuck at it for 3 hours and brought home $68!
