We plan to return to Linvilla Orchards when Nana and Papap are in town in October so we can pick out our pumpkins. This time we'll take Luke, and he'll have lots of fun at the playground, which includes a lot of wooden trucks to play on.

Peach Picking with Bryn
Last Wednesday Bryn and I went back to Linvilla Orchards to pick peaches and Asian pears. Picking peaches was a great activity. The tree trunks are only about 18 inches tall, and the limbs were loaded with peaches, all at Bryn's level. As it turns out, I think Luke would have enjoyed picking peaches, too, but we went on a day that he was in school.
Bryn and I rode a short tractor ride to get to the peach trees, and she enjoyed that aspect of our trip as much as picking peaches. We did have to wait 15 minutes for the tractor to pick us up when we had finished, but waiting with Bryn in the middle of a farm wasn't a problem. (Waiting that long with Luke would have been more difficult.) The Asian pears that we picked were small and more green than yellow but delicious. The peaches, on the other hand, never seemed to soften or sweeten, but a peach cobbler that I had made turned out well.
