It had snowed 4 to 6 inches while we were in Florida, but we didn't have an opportunity to try our hand at sledding until this afternoon when it reached 46 degrees. We stopped first at the toy store to buy a sled, but the only option at this late date was an innertube. We headed over to the duck pond at Haverford College where Bryn was happy to go first.

After seeing how much fun Bryn was having, Luke decided that he, too, wanted to join in the fun, although he refused to put on boots.

We started on a very slight hill, but then worked our way over to a longer, steeper hill. Here Bryn and Luke went down many times together,

and when we told Bryn that it was time for one last run, she said, "No, 90 more." Needless to say, the sledding was a big hit, and it was a great way to spend the late afternoon before Ken left for a 12-day around-the-world trip. If I can get Luke in boots tomorrow, then maybe we'll work on building a snowman in our front yard.
