New Sprinkler Park: Herron Playground

I recently learned of a new sprinkler park in South Philadelphia, and it's terrific. It's a brand-new playground, and some of the equipment is so funky that B, L and I couldn't figure out what you were supposed to do on it! A favorite, though, is a skate board on a U-shaped track that you can ride while lying on your belly. Most of the playground is dedicated to the sprinklers -- all different sizes, and they come on intermittently, sometimes when you least expect it.
We've been two Mondays in a row, but now the temperature is dropping into the 70s, and I wouldn't be surprised if the sprinklers are turned off around Labor Day, so we will likely not go back until next summer. But what a gem for the city, which closed its public pools this year.
