Just in time for the last weekend of the summer at the Belmont Hills Pool, our new underwater camera arrived. I had read two reviews that cautioned against using the camera under the water, but I've been convinced to try it because 1) at the US Open, Olympus was selling the new underwater cameras, and they had one in a fish tank; and 2) the instruction manual says to put the camera in water if you get sand on the lens. What a fun toy! There's a pause between the time that you press the start button and when the camera actually starts recording video, and there's a noticeable delay when taking regular photos, too, but like all new cameras, I just need to get used to it and adjust accordingly. I did manage to capture Bryn doing forwards and backwards flips, but I haven't done so from under water.
We do have one underwater clip -- Bryn waving to me.
Oh, what fun our new toy is! Hoping to play with it some more tomorrow...
