Last Friday I took Bryn and Luke to our new tennis club for their first tennis clinic. Poor Luke hit maybe two balls that were fed to him in 45 minutes' time, but he's willing to try again this week. He keeps swinging too early. Bryn had better luck with making contact with the ball, but she'd hit the ball down and into the court rather than out and across toward the net. I don't think the session was very gratifying for Bryn or Luke because they weren't as successful in hitting the ball as some of the other kids who have been playing for a bit longer. But Bryn said she wants to try again, so we bought her some tennis sneakers. And I think as long as Luke can play in the same clinic as Bryn, he's willing to go again, too. We have another lesson tomorrow, so we'll see how it goes.
