Friday, when school was closed, our neighbor came over to play with Bryn, and we dyed eggs. On Saturday the weather did not cooperate. Ken ran in the 5-mile Narberth Run in hard rain and finished, for the second year in a row, in the top 10. Unfortunately, the kids and I didn't have a chance to cheer him on because the Easter extravaganza that we usually attend is typically held the day before Easter. The kids weren't deterred by the rain, and so dressed in rain gear we went to Gladwyne with a babysitter in tow. But to our disappointment, the Easter event wasn't held this year. The egg hunt at Germantown Cricket Club was cancelled as well so we instead spent the morning at the Please Touch Museum.
Fortunately, Easter Sunday more than compensated for Saturday's disappointments. Bryn woke up at 6:45 to begin looking for the 40 eggs and Easter baskets that the Easter Bunny had hidden on the first floor. All but two were found. (To date, one is still hiding.) Then we went to my Great Aunt Jeanie's for her annual Easter lunch and egg hunt with my Dad's side of the family. Rain threatened, but for the most part, it was contained to a sprinkle.

With one of my cousin's children absent this year, Bryn and Luke collected more eggs than ever. Both of their baskets were overflowing, and there's no question that they brought in more candy than on Halloween.

At lunch, on the far side of the table: Cameron (cousin Ellen's daughter). Connor (cousin Stephen's younger son) and Luke.
On the nearer side of the table: Jack (in glasses) (cousin Ellen's son), Coady (mostly hidden) (Stephen's older son) and Bryn.
