At 16 months, Luke has very few words -- "ball" we hear every day; "bye" much more irregularly. But he has a lot to say in terms of his babble, and I think more and more he's trying to mimic what I say. "Ah" he says when I ask him to turn the light off; "b-ooo" is balloon. Today at lunch I asked him if he could say "milk," and he instead responded by giving me the sign for milk -- opening and closing his fist, as though milking a cow. :)
Bryn, meanwhile, continues to work on dressing herself. Today she successfully buttoned one of the buttons on her favorite cardigan. She struggled with the next one, however, and then relented, "I think it's better if a grown up does it."
