Today, with the assistance of just two styrofoam noodles, Bryn swam the length of the pool! For six weeks now she's been attending a "pike" swim class at the YMCA. Unlike the water babies class that Bryn used to attend and that Luke now goes to, no parents go into the water during pike class. Instead, when the swimming instructor (Ms. Alex) is working with one child, the other four hang onto the side of the pool until it's their turn. Bryn goes to the pool during the week with Ken, too, and her confidence in the water seems to be building. This morning she really did a great job of both "scooping" her arms and kicking, and I still can't believe she (along with the other four kids) made it the full 25 meters!
