I took Bryn and Luke to the children's shoe store today as I figured that Luke's first pair, which he's been wearing for nearly 6 months, were probably now too small. As it turns out, his feet are indeed two sizes bigger, and his new sneakers look like something a five-year-old would wear. I can't get over how much Luke's new shoes have elicited in me feelings that he's now a big kid -- no longer a baby.
Bryn, meanwhile, was so disappointed that she didn't get new shoes, too. She doesn't need any new shoes, but she stilled tried on three pairs, all of which were too big. Her heel is really narrow, and her foot is, unfortunately, becoming increasingly difficult to fit. The good news is that she still has a few pairs, including her standard black patent Mary Janes, that work for her.
