Dutch Wonderland

I'm feeling very proud of myself because this past Monday I successfully managed to take Bryn and Luke to an amusement park in Lancaster County by myself. I had heard positive things about Dutch Wonderland, and it really is designed for younger children. It's a manageable size, and clean. The amusement park is located 50 miles out Lancaster Avenue. We saw Amish people in their horse-drawn buggies, and if I had been by myself, I would have pulled over at a road-side store that boasted an inventory of 5,000 dolls. B&L went on about 10 rides, including this airplane ride, which they rode twice. The highlight for me was winning a game of Whack-a-Mole, although neither Bryn nor Luke seems interested in my prize -- a soft black bear. Oh well. For Bryn and Luke, they liked getting cotton candy, which they had just had on the Fourth of July. I really think that Luke's approaching age three is making things easier all around in terms of taking Bryn and Luke on outings single-handedly.
