While I don't have a scanned copy of it, I received today Luke's report card from swimming, and he did better than I was expecting. He was ranked on fewer skills than Bryn, but he got mostly "4's," meaning "Independent," and a few "3's," meaning "Very Little Assistance."
Breath control (blowing bubbles) - 4
Fully submerge face - 4
Fully submerge head - 4
Supported float on back/front - 4
Supported flutter kick on front/back - 4
Supported sculling on back - 4
Alternating arm action on front - 4
Coordinating kick with alternating arm action - 3
Coordinating kick/alternating arm action and breath control - 3
Alternating arm action on back (backstroke arms) - 3
Coordinating arm stroke and glide - 3
One of the swim instructors wrote, "Luke is a very talented swimmer. He is well on his way to being a fully independent swimmer. He is a very sweet boy who shows a lot of determination."
Way to go, Luke!
