Trick-or-Treat!

Halloween evening we joined the Marans at Jocelin and Anton's for pizza before heading out trick-or-treating. We hired Big Luke to come to our house and hand out candy so that I could join in the trick-or-treating fun. Bryn, Hannah and Emily took off SPRINTING for the first several houses. I could barely keep up! But Luke had no trouble keeping up with the six-year-olds. He was with them every step of the way.
The trick-or-treating lasted a full hour along Hathaway Lane before thirst and fatigue set in. We drove from Hannah's house back to our street where Bryn and Luke hit a five more houses, finishing up with our own where Big Luke was dressed in a gorilla costume!
Bryn counted her loot -- 56 pieces in all, including a full-size Nestle Crunch bar and a flash light from David across the street. Many thanks to Nana, who crafted Luke's bat costume and made some improvements to Bryn's costume.
