Raspberry Picking

This past Wednesday, on our special day together, Bryn and I went to Linvilla Orchards to pick raspberries. We had gone last year to pick strawberries, and Bryn wasn't so interested, but she seemed more eager this year. After picking about 8 or 10 berries, she seemed to lose interest, so I thought this year might be a repeat of last year's experience. She took a break from picking while I worked to fill my quart-size container. When Bryn saw how many raspberries I had picked, she said she wanted to fill her container just as full. So we worked together for the next 20 minutes or so and took home about one and a half quarts of raspberries for just $5. (They were selling in the store for $4 for a half pint.)
We spent some time on the playground and then left to go to lunch. Bryn was in the mood for chicken fingers, so we went to Ruby's Diner only to discover that it had recently closed for renovations. The food across the street at Corner Bakery wasn't quite as appealing to Bryn, but she did take home a jungle-print cup that she thinks is cool.
