Playdate

This afternoon we had the pleasure of going on a playdate at the Worsdales' house. Lola is exactly a year older than Bryn, and Charlie just turned three. The kids had a great time playing with a sprinkler and a small wading pool.

More fun was had inside, particularly when Devney turned on the karaoke machine. The next thing I knew, Luke had climbed on top of a small table -- as though he were on stage -- and he was the one with the microphone!

When Bryn and Lola grabbed musical instruments to accompany Luke's singing, Luke said, at the start of his number, "Group song!", which is what we call the performance on "American Idol" when all of the contestants perform as a unit.

My picture of the band, sadly, is blurry, but look how precious this foursome is!
We passed our neighborhood playground on the way home, so we stopped for a bit. This picture of Bryn, now standing up in the swing, makes me realize how big she's getting. All in all, it was one of those great days when I'm so thankful that I'm no longer a full-time working mother and that I'm able to spend such quality time with Bryn and Luke and to be witness to these kinds of moments.
