At Bryn's follow-up appointment with our regular pediatrician, I asked whether Bryn could play in the snow. The doctor said doing so would even be good for her -- a little exercise after having been so sick. The day after Bryn came home from the hospital we had gotten a huge snow storm, so on Christmas Eve we took the kids sledding over at Haverford College. Bryn had a great time, and I wish the pictures turned out, but it was hard to get a photo when she was whizzing by so quickly. Luke, to our surprise, did only one run, and poor Bryn wasn't ready to go home when Luke was.

Christmas morning the kids didn't wake up any earlier than usual.

Having been home an entire week, Bryn was able to participate fully in the morning's excitement.
Both kids got what they had asked Santa for -- a make up set for Bryn and a new princess cell phone, too, and for Luke a computer and Flo, one of the cars from the movie "Cars."
But the biggest hits came from
relatives -- in Bryn's case, a "purse" from Aunt Karlye filled with everything that a Mom carries in her purse -- pack of tissues, change purse, pen, crayons, and GUM! In Luke's case, from Nana a very simple but cool race track for Matchbox cars that keeps track of the order in which the four racing cars finish.
