This post may be a little less about Bryn and Luke and more about Ken's new car -- a white Mini Clubman, which is 10 [confirm w/ Ken] inches longer than their other model. In the picture above you can barely make out the third "half" door on the passenger side; it has an interior handle that is hidden from the outside of the car. This door makes it really easy to get one of the kids in his or her car seat in the back. Ken and I both like the star hubcaps, too. Today was the first time we tried putting both kids in the back. They have ample leg room, but boy are they close to each other! No long trips in this car, or they will, quite literally, be at each other's throats. Given Ken's interest in taking the car somewhere, and our never-ending winter quest for a Sunday afternoon activity, we decided to try the art museum. The kids lasted maybe 30 minutes, although Luke certainly enjoyed having a palatial space to run around in. For the past several weeks he's been wowing us with his ability to walk down stairs while holding on to the spindles of a railing. He certainly wasn't intimidated by the museum's many marble steps, which he insisted on navigating by himself. Very impressive.
