Luke's Vocabulary at 18 Months

So impressed by Bryn's speaking vocabulary at 18 months, Ken and I made a list of her roughly 50 words -- 20 of which were close approximations to standard English. Too busy climbing ladders at the playground and walking up and down steps on his feet, Luke hasn't focused as much on speaking. At this stage, he has only a handful of words that he pronounces correctly -- ball, boo! and boo boo, bubble, bye, Mommy, more and no. The last three of these are, without a doubt, used the most heavily. His other words at this fun milestone include:

ah = on and off
ba = bath and back, as in to put something back
bahbah = baby
boo = balloon and blue
Bri = Bryn
buh = book and bus
dah = dog and yeah (yes)
DahDah = Daddy
dar = star and shark
doo = shoe
duh = truck and stuck (it's amazing how often things get stuck)
eye (heard only once)
Ja = Jack
mi = milk
Momo = Elmo
mow = meow and cat
Nana
ow = ouch
Papap
reh = red
wawa = water
weh = wet
whoa (used when he slips. very amusing)
