There's the most wonderful children's book store near us, Children's Book World, in Haverford, and they host events about once a month. While I was at my grandmother's funeral, Ken took Bryn and Luke to a Star Wars event. We had no idea how authentic the costumes of the characters were going to be! They looked as though they had just walked off the movie set, and even had the voice boxes to digitize their speech. Darth Vader was so authentic that Bryn was a bit frightened of him at first, but as you can see, Ken got their picture with the former Anakin Skywalker as well as with Stormtroopers and Boba Fett. The event was a big hit, and when I went to the store to do some Christmas shopping, I asked about the Star Wars characters. As it turns out, they are professionals who do volunteer work, such as visiting children's hospitals. In this case, Scholastic sponsored their appearance at the children's book store. I'm wondering whether they're based out of NY? That's where Scholastic is based, anyway.
