Yesterday, per Bryn's request, I observed her class' swim lesson. During the summer months, Bryn takes swimming lessons at school twice a week. Like the semi-private lessons that she had been taking at the YMCA this past spring, these sessions are very instructive -- no more singing songs and splashing in the water just for the fun of it. Yesterday's focus was on the backstroke; the instructors even went over the proper arm motion.
Bryn is a real star; she can float on her back, unassisted, the longest,
and she came very close to sitting on the bottom of the pool when challenged to do so by the instructors.
